From 8 Viewers to Hundreds — Thank You for Making BiteTalk Live What It Is
In late September, I hit “Go Live” for the very first time with absolutely no idea what to expect. I cooked in my own kitchen, on my own little setup, talking to a screen and hoping someone out there would want to hang out and cook with me.
That first night, we had 8 viewers. And honestly… it felt amazing. Eight real people choosing to spend their time in my kitchen? I was blown away.
Fast-forward to today, and it doesn’t even feel real to say this: now when we go live, there are usually anywhere from 100 to 500 people hanging out in the stream. Not bots, not random scroll-bys — real home cooks, real families, and real supporters who show up night after night.
On top of that, we’re closing in on 1,100 followers. The chat is full of familiar names, inside jokes, and people who share photos of the recipes they’ve made from the site. BiteTalk has grown into a community that feels a lot more like family.
I’m grateful every day for what we’re building together.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for cooking with me. Thank you for supporting the recipes, the website, the shop, and the chaos that happens in between.
This is just the beginning — and I’m glad you’re here for the ride. Let’s keep cooking.
